Nicholas Collins

Lead Museum Assistant

Nicholas Collins has served as the Lead Museum Assistant of The Sports Museum since April 2022.

Nick joined The Sports Museum in a part-time capacity as a Museum Assistant in June 2018. Since then, he has led numerous Sports Museum Tours and TD Garden Arena Tours assisted in the daily operations of the museum and provided support for exhibit installation and maintenance. He is continuing to do all of this in his new role as Lead Museum Assistant with increased responsibilities in terms of scheduling, managing, and assigning Museum Assistants to Public Tours, VIP Tours, and Field Trips. He is also playing an expanded role in the overall admissions and operations of the museum.

Nick’s previous work experience includes stints at ALDI in Milford as well as at the Ohrenberger School in West Roxbury as a student teacher. He was also an intern at the Edward M. Kennedy Institute for the U.S. Senate.

Nick attended UMass Boston, where he earned a B.A. in History and graduated summa cum laude. In the fall of 2022, he will begin coursework at UMass Boston toward a B.A. in Sport Leadership and Administration.
